These calipers, most commonly used for craniometry, are manufactured from chrome plated steel. Fitted with a pivotal ruler proportionally graduated with a measuring range of 0-300mm. Readings are taken from the sharpened edge of the index on the guide channel for the ruler. These calipers are also fitted with a small screw for fixing the arms at any given measurement. The rounded ends of the arms can help prevent damage to archaeological material.

Osteometric Table
Improved measurement board that can be used to determine angles and curvatures in addition to basic lengths and widths. 60cm x 25cm. Made from durable PVC with mm graph scale provided for basic measurements. The attached steel bars and loop are used in conjuction with wires and weights (supplied) to align any angle up to 360°, subsequently measured with the provided protractor. The steel loop can be inserted at three points along the wall of the board, allowing several different measurements of any long bone to be taken accurately, such as the valgus angle of the neck of femur or diaphyseal angulation resulting from fractures.

Mandibulometer
A whole range of linear and angular measurements can be taken of the lower jaw using this mandibulometer, including ramus angle, height and mandible length. The instrument is made from aluminium and PVC. It is very easy to use, equipped with a protractor to measure the angle between the base and the aligning back plate, a lightweight bar used to read off the mm scale to assess ramus height and an adjustable horizontal metal plate with mm ruler for measuring mandibular length.
