Ossafreelance analyses include:

Appropriate cataloguing of material including the provision of a skeletal and dental inventory, age and sex assessment, metric analysis, stature estimation and pathological examination.

Submission of a full written report and digital archive

Complimentary illustrative digital images

Provision of relevant archaeological context including local historical data as well as comparison to contemporary archaeological assemblages

All recording will comply to those standards recommended by the IFA and the British Association of Biological Anthropology and Osteology

Provision of all data on an accession database using MS Access allowing easy integration of
bio-archaeological data with other archaeological finds

Clear advice given on recommendations made by MAP2 guidelines and future potential research, such as stable isotope analysis, dating etc.

Terms and Conditions:

Prices include written reports, digital images and accession database of original data, where appropriate. Prices exclude incurred costs for repackaging and labelling and transport. Prices are based on working rates of:

• Human Skeletal Assessment - 50 skeletons per day
• Human Skeletal Analysis + Data Imput - 2 per day
• Report Writing - 1/3rd of Analysis time
• Animal Bone Assessment - 10 standard boxes a day
• Animal Bone Analysis - 2/3 standard boxes per day
